Cereals that we know are usually high in carbs. This keto cereal recipe is different. It’s low in carbs and filled with nutrients.

If you’re someone who doesn’t want eggs in your breakfast this is the best alternative.

One simple bowl provides a lot of benefits and leaves plenty of room for customization. You can see that in the ingredients.

Also, it’s heavily based on coconut flakes since they are low-carb. Artificial colors that tint your milk are not included, but if you still want that you can add food colors.

Is The Recipe Keto-Friendly?

Cereals as we know are high in carbs. This is slightly different.

Several ingredients are replaced just to ensure that it’s keto-friendly. For example, plain milk is not an option here. So, instead, we’re using plant-based milk such as almond milk.

1/2 cup of keto cereal contains roughly 2 g of net carbs. This doesn’t mean you can eat it freely but 1 bowl a day will be enough.

How To Make Keto Cereal?

The process of making cereals every morning is easy but can take time. That’s why we recommend preparing your cereal bowl ahead of time.

Here is how to make it:

  • Preheat oven to 425F
  • Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  • Evenly spread the mix on a foil or parchment paper-lined baking sheet and place in the oven.
  • Once you see signs of Toastiness, begin to toss the mix, putting back in for 20 seconds at a time. When it toasts, it’ll toast FAST.
  • Toast until the desired Cronch is achieved. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • Store as needed. Makes 10 1/2-cup servings. Serve with any low carb or unsweetened milk of choice. 

How To Store Keto Cereal?

The goal of preparing recipes is to save time. That’s why we insist on preparing your meals ahead of time.

Bear in mind that some of the ingredients can melt if you keep them in a warm environment.

For this, you have to keep your meal in a container free of air and place it in the fridge for a maximum of 2 weeks.

If it starts to melt mix it for 20 seconds and store it again in the refrigerator.

  • 1 Cup Sliced Almonds
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil Melted
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Sweetener of choice Adjust as desired

Optional Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Cinnamon 
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • Cacao Nibs
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Hemp seeds
  • Almond Milk
  • Food coloring
